Weardale Neighbourhood Policing Update Over the past couple of weeks, officers have been busy across the area. Here are some recent highlights: A stolen van from Wolsingham was successfully located and recovered following a road traffic collision (RTC). An arrest was made, and enquiries are ongoing. A stolen camper van from another force area was traced to our area and recovered. Three people were arrested in connection with this incident. We continue to receive reports of sheep worrying. We’d like to remind dog owners that livestock worrying is a serious offence and can have devastating consequences for farmers. Please keep dogs on a lead around livestock and ensure they are under control at all times. Officers from Weardale Neighbourhood Team and Crook Police carried out Operation Checkpoint patrols in the Weardale area, with valuable assistance and information from members of the local community.
